When mentioning online dating, does it deserves a negative connotation? Based on my discussions with friends and associates, eyes begin to roll back and forth when this subject is brought up. I am sure there have been a lot of positive and successful stories from online dating, but the high percentages of negative online dating experiences cannot be ignored.
I constantly hear stories of men disrespecting women all the time. This is the type of behavior that gives online dating a bad name. Unfortunately, a lot of people are discouraged with online dating, and trust me, I understand. I am going to assume it’s a way to kill time for those that are not serious about meeting someone.
About two years ago, a friend suggested that I try out a paid subscription online dating website. He stated “if people are paying to get on dating websites, maybe they will be more serious about trying to find someone to date and get to know”. My response was, that makes a lot of sense.
I decided to try a paid subscription dating website. After a month of browsing this anonymous online dating website, I concluded that I could not distinguish the difference between the free online dating websites and the paid ones. Even when people are paying subscriptions on certain dating websites, that does not mean they will be more serious than people that are on free dating websites. It’s just another vice that people waste their money on.
In my experiences, I’ve met some cool people on dating websites. I was actually in a 5 year relationship with someone I met on blackplanet.com. Although we may not be compatible with everyone on dating websites, we can acquire and appreciate developing a friendship with one another. Til this day, I am still friends with a couple of people that I met on a dating website.
Here are the top 5 black dating websites. Please leave a comment on your opinion about online dating websites.
